Culture of area

  • Maenam has a reputation as one of Koh Samui’s most peaceful and authentic areas. Unlike the busy nightlife of Chaweng or Lamai, Maenam reflects a slower, local lifestyle, with family-run shops, small temples, and a quiet village atmosphere. It’s popular with long-term residents, digital nomads, and travelers seeking tranquility.

Beach

  • Maenam Beach is a long stretch of golden sand (about 7 km), framed by palm trees and calm blue waters. It’s less crowded than other main beaches, making it ideal for swimming, sunbathing, or simply enjoying the serenity. The beach also offers spectacular sunset views over Koh Phangan.
